Job Title: General Liability Adjuster- Auto Claims

Location: San Diego, CA (Kearny Mesa)

Duration: 90 days with possible extension/conversion

Pay: $30-$40/hr. DOE

Schedule: 100% Onsite; Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week

Summary

Seeking an experienced adjuster to handle Commercial General Liability and Auto claims involving physical damage and bodily injury. This role manages claims from initial investigation through resolution or litigation, ensuring compliance with guidelines and delivering strong client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate first-party and third-party Auto and General Liability claims
  • Evaluate coverage, determine liability, and establish appropriate reserves
  • Manage claims throughout their full life cycle, including settlement or litigation
  • Prepare written reports and correspondence such as coverage analyses, reservation of rights letters, and disclaimers
  • Negotiate settlements for physical damage and injury claims within assigned authority
  • Oversee litigated matters through final disposition
  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and appeal hearings
  • Serve as a client-facing claims manager for assigned accounts
  • Communicate with vendors, defense counsel, claimants, insurance carriers, and clients
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with internal data standards
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Minimum of 3 years of Auto and/or General Liability claims experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom
  • Salary is dependent on experience, skills, education, designations, and location
